Chase Sly Joins Stellar as Director of Engineering for Industrial Solutions Division

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (January 17, 2022) — Stellar, a fully integrated firm focused on design, engineering, construction, refrigeration and mechanical services worldwide, is proud to welcome Chase A. Sly, PE, as Director of Engineering for Stellar Industrial Solutions. He will focus on leading a team of 17 refrigeration designers and engineers to grow and expand Stellar's market share in industrial refrigeration.

Before joining Stellar, Sly spent 10 years with RC&E, Inc., a Texas-based design-build contractor specializing in food and beverage processing, distribution and cold storage industries. As Director of Engineering, he was responsible for sales and design of industrial refrigeration systems with $15 million to $30 million in project sales per year.

During his tenure at RC&E, Sly performed analysis, design and estimation on more than 100 projects in 15 different states. Many of the designs included ammonia or halocarbon refrigeration systems and glycol heating systems. He also designed carbon dioxide refrigeration systems and hybrid systems.

Sly is a licensed professional engineer, as well as a voting member of the IIAR (International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration) Piping Committee and past president and current treasurer of the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of RETA (Refrigerated Engineering Training Association).

Sly graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in aerospace engineering.
