To help protect you and your family against extraordinary medical expenses, Stellar offers you the choice of three BlueCross BlueShield Plans. All three are PPO Plans that utilize the same “Blue Card” network, however, one is compatible with a Health Savings Account (HSA), one with a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) and one is a PPO Plus with low deductibles and copays. In addition, all plans include prescription drug coverage, a $100 vision allowance and a $250 nicotine cessation allowance.

Stellar offers a generous dental plan though BlueCross BlueShield. Dental care is meant to provide you and your family with coverage for preventive dental services and protection against other dental expenses. The plan pays for all or a portion of eligible expenses for a wide range of services and gives you the option of going to the dentist of your choice.

To help you pay expenses associated with eye care, Stellar offers a vision plan through Humana. This vision plan provides coverage both in and out of network benefits. The vision care plan provides coverage for exams, lenses, frames and contact lenses. There is a $150 in-network allowance.

Maternity care is a program offered to all eligible expectant mothers covered under our medical plans. This program assists you in making healthier lifestyle choices and helps lower the risks of pregnancy-related complications. As part of the program, employees have access to a dedicated care manager who is a registered nurse with experience in obstetrics, a welcome gift box with information, coupons and special offers, as well as educational materials to help you make healthier lifestyle choices. This program is offered at no cost to you.

Stellar is pleased to provide 24-hour access to U.S. board-certified and licensed doctors and pediatricians. For individuals enrolled in the group medical plan, this benefit allows you and your enrolled dependents to talk to a Teladoc doctor through the convenience of phone and/or through online video consultations at no cost.

Stellar includes an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that provides up to 6 counseling sessions per issue per year with licensed network professionals at no cost to you. These services are confidential and help address stress, relationship or other personal issues you or your family members may face. It is staffed by highly trained master’s and doctoral level clinicians.

This is a free benefit offered annually as a way to understand your current health snapshot and to learn of any areas that may need improvement. This simple biometric screening will measure your total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, BMI, and body fat percentage. Healthy ranges in these areas will save you money on the following years’ monthly premiums.

Stellar employees are offered discounts with participating gyms.

If enrolled in our medical plan, nicotine users who want to quit, have access to free cessation offerings. We offer personal health coaching with expert guidance, support, and the personal attention you need to create a plan for success! In addition, Stellar offers up to $250 reimbursement for nicotine replacement therapy (lozenges, gum, patches) or towards the cost of cessation programming that you seek on your own.

At Stellar, we offer all employees who are at least 18 years of age the opportunity to participate in our 401(k) Retirement Plan. As an employee, you may contribute from 0 to 100% of your eligible compensation, up to the IRS maximum. Stellar matches 100% on the first 3% of the employee’s contributions to the plans and 50% on the next 3% of the employee’s contributions to the plans. This amounts to a total of 4.5% if an employee contributes 6% to the plans.

To provide beneficiaries with financial protection in the event of your death, Stellar provides you with a $50,000 life insurance benefit at no cost to you.

In addition to the Group Term Life Insurance, you can choose to purchase Voluntary Life Insurance and Spouse/Dependent Life Insurance at a discounted rate. Newly eligible employees can elect up to the guaranteed amount of $200,000 for yourself, $20,000 for your spouse and/or $10,000 for child dependents without a medical questionnaire. If you decide to elect an amount higher than the guaranteed amount, you will be required to fill out a medical questionnaire.

Stellar provides Short-term Disability coverage at no cost to the employee. The Short-term Disability plan will pay you 60% of your taxable monthly pre-disability earnings for up to 26 weeks.

Long-Term disability is provided to you at no cost. Long-Term Disability provides you with continued income if you are disabled for longer than six months. This benefit will pay 60% of your taxable monthly pre-disability earnings, up to the social security retirement age.

To provide you with a tax effective means of paying for you or your covered family members’ qualified medical and/or dependent care expenses, Stellar offers you the opportunity to enroll in a Flexible Spending Account. An FSA enables you to set aside funds from each paycheck in a special account prior to deductions for taxes.

Health Savings Account is an employee-funded tax-advantaged savings account. Funds can be used to pay for qualified health-related expenses. Unused funds roll over year to year, and the money always belongs to employee, regardless of employment status. Stellar contributes to the account each year.

Stellar provides you with paid time off (PTO) from work for rest and relaxation, to attend to personal or family matters, and/or to recover from illness or injury. PTO accrues throughout the year, and increases upon completion of five and ten years of continuous service.

To recognize national holidays, Stellar provides eight paid holidays each year.

Stellar provides you with time to make arrangements, attend services and grieve if an immediate family member passes away. Stellar grants up to three days of bereavement leave per year.

Stellar recognizes that when someone dedicates time and effort to our cause, applause is called for. This is why we have a long history of celebrating our employees’ milestones. Stellar hosts semi-annual events honoring employees who have reached milestone anniversaries with Stellar. During these events, employees are presented with a token of our appreciation.

Stellar has established a matching gift program through the Stellar Foundation. Employees who wish to contribute to the Stellar Foundation will have their donations matched at 100 percent, and they can direct their contributions, ranging from $50 to an annual maximum of $1,000, to specific 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations. Stellar will provide a corporate match of up to $50,000 each year.

Each quarter, we collect employee donations for a fundraising initiative. Stellar then matches the employee-donated funds.

Stellar supports employees who wish to give back to their communities, providing several opportunities each year for you to volunteer your time to help eligible causes.
