Stellar to Build Lacrosse Facility at Jacksonville University

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 16, 2018) — Stellar, a firm providing award-winning construction management at-risk, design-build and general contracting services for a range of commercial and public sector markets, has been selected as the design-builder for the new Jacksonville Lacrosse Center at Jacksonville University. Stellar has teamed with PQH Group for the design.

The new lacrosse facility will be located adjacent to D.B. Milne Field on the Jacksonville University campus. Construction costs for the facility will total $1.875 million.

The 8,600-square-foot building will include:

• 10 offices for coaches, assistants and staff

• Conference room and film room

• Women’s locker room, restrooms and shower facilities

• Men’s locker room, restrooms and shower facilities

“We’re excited to be working on this unique facility for JU,” said Richard Lovelace, Stellar’s Senior Vice President of Commercial Services. “This is a high-traffic area of campus, so we’re fast-tracking the project timeline to have the building ready before lacrosse season.”

The facility is expected to be completed by October 2018.
