Fort Wainwright Summer and Winter Activity Center

This project consists of a new 8,000 SF Golf Clubhouse and Winter Activities Center at Chena Bend. The new facility accommodates: Pro-Shop, Two Golf Simulator Rooms, Dining/Lounge, which doubles as a gathering space  for events, Commercial Kitchen, Full Bar, Locker Rooms, and Manager Offices. Due to the sub-arctic climate at this location where temperature can reach -40 degrees C in the winter months, the facility design addressed all elements of the exterior envelope systems to provide a building capable of withstanding the harsh environment. The new 3,200 SF Cart Storage Building is a pre-engineered metal building for storing golf carts during winter. By constructing this new facility, Ft. Wainwright has the ability to provide service to its soldiers, active and retired, year round. The facility is designed to achieve LEED Silver Certification.
