Stellar Completes Construction on New Multi-Million Dollar Tom Bush BMW Dealership

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (January 9, 2017) — Stellar, a firm providing award-winning construction management at-risk, design-build and general contracting services for a range of commercial and public sector markets, has recently completed construction on the Tom Bush Family of Dealership’s newest building: a multi-million dollar BMW dealership located at 9875 Atlantic Blvd, directly across the street from their current home.

Construction began in February after Stellar completed a new state-of-the-art collision center for Tom Bush. Stellar converted and expanded the former collision center building into the new

44,000-square-foot BMW dealership facility, including an open 12-car showroom, a 28-bay service shop and eight Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations and three Level 3 charging stations, capable of recharging in as little as 20 minutes.

“This project presented an exciting challenge — to retrofit an older building into a high-tech dealership in a busy retail area,” said Richard Lovelace, Senior VP, Stellar Commercial Group. “Our team has built a great relationship with the Tom Bush team, working on several projects to provide Tom Bush customers the luxury brand experience they’ve come to expect. We also collaborated to raise funds for a local nonprofit organization this fall.”

Stellar was the project’s general contractor and worked alongside R. Wulbern Architect, PA, who designed the project to meet BMW’s strict brand standards by including high-end finishes like specialty clinker floor tile, acoustical ceiling tiles, a large centralized customer lounge with a coffee bar and other world class amenities. The fully air-conditioned service shop is stocked with all new auto maintenance equipment, lifts and uniform, built-in toolboxes for the technicians. In addition, a dedicated delivery room allows salespeople to review all the vehicle’s features prior to departure.
