Stellar to Renovate and Expand Arlington Toyota Dealership

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (February 26, 2020) — Construction is officially underway at the Arlington Toyota dealership at 10939 Atlantic Blvd.

Stellar, a firm providing award-winning construction management at-risk, design-build and general contracting services for a range of commercial and public sector markets, is renovating and expanding the dealership to accommodate continued business growth.

Crews broke ground on the $10.7 million project on February 3, and construction is expected to be completed by August 2021. The official groundbreaking ceremony was held on February 25.

Stellar will build a new 59,187-square-foot showroom/shop building, renovate the existing showroom/shop and collision center, and expand the dealership’s parking lot. Another 10,893 square feet are being added to the existing buildings. Stellar partnered with R. Wulbern Architect PA for the design.

Stellar demolished an existing 52,000-square-foot retail center at the southwest corner of the property to construct the new parking lot, which will add approximately 250 more parking spaces for the business.

“The dealership and sales lot will remain open throughout construction, so we will be working closely with the Arlington Toyota staff to eliminate significant impacts to their ongoing operations,” said Scott Wright, project manager at Stellar. “We’ve navigated similar challenges for many projects before, so we anticipate a seamless process with minimal inconvenience to the dealer’s clients and visitors.”

The Stellar team will also coordinate with the owner’s other vendors — such as the automobile mechanic equipment provider, sign company, cabinetry contractor, lighting supplier and others — to ensure the overall project remains on schedule.
