Dakota Provisions Turkey Processing Facility

Dakota Provisions is a state-of-the-art turkey processing facility set up by Dakota Turkey Growers, a major farmers’ cooperative of 44 independent Hutterite (a religious group similar to the Amish who have adopted modern manufacturing as a way to survive) turkey farmers in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota, USA. It is the first full-line turkey facility to be built in the US since the late 1980s.

Maple Leaf Foods Meat Processing Facility, Hamilton

The new facility has insulated panels and an interstitial space located above each of the process areas for accommodating the mechanical and electrical systems. Stellar Group provided the engineering design and architectural services for the plant.

Starbucks Coffee Roasting Plant

The facility opened properly in early 2009 (following test runs and commissioning of equipment late in 2008). The 117,000ft² plant required an investment of $70m and was awarded silver LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) status from the US Green Building Council for its use of recycled materials and commitment to energy and water conservation.

Nestlé USA Frozen Foods Production

Nestlé awarded the contract for engineering, architectural and construction management to Stellar Group of Jacksonville, Florida. The plant and the storage facility have both been built to allow major expansion at a later date. Nestlé USA Prepared Foods division opened the first frozen food production line in March 2003; a second was opened in September 2003. The two production lines operate under a two-shift system.

US-based chicken producer Bell & Evans has made an investment of more than $260m to develop a new poultry processing facility in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. A ground-breaking ceremony for the facility was held in November 2017, and completion is scheduled for early-2020.
